Meeting The Standing Stones of Stenness
It's a while since we journeyed to Orkney, but it's never too late to share snippets from the journey... Travelling along the main road (which by the by is two lanes - one in each direction) we saw a howe (hillock or knoll) in the middle of a field, and we stopped in by to make arrangements. Highlands and Islands In a Week part 4
The downside of @ having to return to work was missing bosies but the upside was that I got to have two duvets on my bed at night. I slept with more warmth. Maiden Stone
In a couple of weeks I will be sharing a cabin on Loch Ness with my folks. Loudon Wood Stone Circle
We left the church and walked home in the bright sunshine. My Mum, Claire and I had animated discussions about Aberdeen City issues - I notice the changes more acutely because I'm now an occasional visitor and the increase in traffic and noise since I lived there is appalling.
