Making Space To Manifest

The Reaper SoulCollage Card

Returning from London, the first thing that I noticed was the hill behind our house had lost some of its vibrant colours. I had meant to take some photographs of the rich blankets of oranges, reds, yellows and browns but time moved on and now the colours are muted as the leaves drift on the earth. Things are ending and so beginning again, old leaves drop to the earth ... read more

I Am Ready To…

I am ready to...

... sit within the rainbow

... show myself

... be introspective in the limelight

... hold the boundary between myself and undesired clamour

... shine

... shield myself when I need to

Intimidated Self ~ SoulCollage

I am the one who is invisible

I am the one who is torn

I am the one who is disconnected

I am the one who is in anguish

I am the one who sings silence

I am the one who is cut deep

SoulCollage® is the ... read more

Red Womban

I pull the card from the box and smile. Is it coincidence or connection that draws my fingertips to it? It is the first time I smile this morning - this morning is about managing pain... In SoulCollage we use the "I am the One who..." exercise to speak from the card...

I am the One who bleeds

I am the One who sees women ... read more

Quit Floating

I have not been giving my blog much attention recently and so I decided to resort to pulling a random SoulCollage card from my deck and free-writing from it (a handy trick that has worked in the past for this blogger).

When I pulled the card out I had a "oh no not that one - put it back quick!" reaction. As uncomfortable as it usually is, I find it is the signs, ... read more

SoulCollage Snippet

Despite the chaos of moving house, the boxes that are everywhere and the circular journey of things as they are moved from one place to another as we try to set up house.... I managed to sneak an hour of creative play and indulge in the luxury of being able to spread out on my new table and make a mess... Two new SoulCollage cards created themselves and I love them both, not least as they are the first cards I have created in Fife :)

My SoulCollage Cards

SoulCollage® is the process, developed by Seena B. Frost, of creating a deck of collaged cards from found images—cards that are arranged in suits for the primary purpose of self-exploration and self-acceptance. SoulCollage® cards are made from original purchased art (e.g., art published in magazines, calendars, books, cards, etc.) and personal materials (e.g., photos). SoulCollage cards are not to be sold, traded, or bartered and are to be reproduced only for the personal use of the maker ... read more

Card for Today

[caption id="attachment_335" align="alignleft" width="187" caption="SoulCollage - "earth mother"][/caption] I haven't written for a while and some reasons for that are good reasons rather than unfortunate excuses... Like being in California for ten days of Soulskin time :) I'm still trying to fix this blog so it looks the way I want it to and so please bear with the stark an un-me white for now... Anyway, one of the things I got up to in California was completing the training that allows ... read more

The Long and the short of it

I temporarily suspended my sock knitting adventure to concentrate on finishing the baby papoose. Although I'm a fairly new knitter, I see myself as having a Work In Progress basket always filled with a number of projects... but the baby papoose doesn't have the luxury of lounging amongst half knitted socks and the fantasy of other things I imagine creating with needles - babies grow fast and there are no guarantees this garment could be shuffled to accommodate the "next baby". The reason I ... read more

Rooting Around

I have not been writing much here for a couple of reasons and today I just want to say *whatever* to both those reasons and reclaim my space.I made this SoulCollage card some time ago and I notice that it is the only card I have in my Chakra/Companions Suit. This tells its own story about how disconnected I feel from my body, my energy, my creativity, the earth, how I want my life to be and on infinitum.I was doing some reading about Muladhara, the Root Chakra, today and one thing jumped out at ... read more

Creative Space and new SoulCollage

Today I have been concentrating on my creative space. I am not sure quite how it happens, but this room seems to gradually creep into disarray. I prefer it tidy and organised and the theory behind the creation of this room was that it was to be a Den, a Haven, a place for Creativity. But it also functions as Taexalia Towers - a hub of financial files, bubbly envelopes and pretty things winding their way to happy customers. In short Clutter Creeps. So I'm tackling the untidy piles, some leftovers ... read more

Personal Landscape

Yesterday I mentioned I was musing over the concept of Personal Landscapes and that idea is still exercising my mind today. My work with SoulCollage is one process of mapping my inner selves and my inner landscape. I also work with my inner landscape in dreams, dreamwork, meditation and journeying (although these pursuits are somewhat challenged in my life at this time). But this concept of Personal Landscapes is something more than the inner world, although I think a Personal Landscape is held ... read more

Creative Bits

I got back into knitting last week and finally finished the pair of socks I started in Drumnadrochit. I love the earthy colours and the Freedom Spirit wool is excellent for sock making. This is the third pair I have made in this pattern ~ it's also the third pair I'm giving away. I promise to make a pair for me next...Before I start more socks though I'm focusing on the baby papoose I started months ago. I got so far and then abandoned it, but if I don't finish it soon it will miss its ... read more
