Movement
Movement is the word I chose as my theme for 2009, and movement is what I have been up to for the last couple of weeks - moving house involves nothing but movement from place to place and from dawn til dusk... and beyond. Perfect timing - the latest issue of Mslexia plopped through my letterbox today. I'm always intending to submit work every time the new issue appears, but I always manage to put it off... I was struck by something Maggie O'Farrell said in her interview - "I have to be disciplined to do the washing or do the tax return or the hoovering... but I don't need discipline to write, not at all."
