Reflections 2009 ~ January

I've been looking through my photographs for this year and thinking "Why didn't I post that?... or that?... or that?" Which helped me decide to round the year out with a trip down memory lane...

January saw a trip to Edinburgh Zoo - and the first picture I wanted to post is already on that blog, but Mercedes is such a beautiful beast she warrants a second slot...

She also reminds me of the word I chose for 2009, movement, as Mercedes also moved away from Edinburgh this year and found herself in a more spacious home closer to nature.

Also from the zoo trip, a Sea Eagle - much more satisfying to see them in the wild...

January also saw me at Portobello Beach for a breathtaking sunrise... Looking at that post now, I am tickled to say that I now see Inchkeith Island at closer range every day
