Donald Trump Re-writing Scottish History
Today news breaks that Donald Trump has renamed Menie House, the house that lies in the middle of Menie Estate, MacLeod House - in the process wiping out 700 years of history. There are no guarantees that he won't re-name the whole estate, especially when we hear what that darling of rhetoric George Sorial (cue hits from Trump Corporation ISP and their Google alert on his name) has to say about it - that the estate won't lose its name without public consultation.
We all know how much attention Donald Trump and George Sorial pay to local and public opinion, don't we?
The Menie locals who supported this development may well be removing their rose tinted spectacles round about now.
I hate to say "I told you so", but I fucking told you so.
This is what Donald Trump is, this is who he is and this is his vision for Scotland. Rather than buying up some land in the USA and making a Scottish theme park, Donald Trump decided to buy some land in Scotland and make Scotland itself a theme park.

Why is there a rumour that Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire council are going to enforce compulsary purchase order on certain properties in the menie estate for the benefit of a private investor looking to develope the Balmedie area.
This seems rather odd that a publically elected body could act for a private citizean of another country.
Surely the rumour cannot be true….
Can anyone out there confirm this rumour please.
