You have to laugh at Alex Salmond
Just the other day he announced his latest triumph - his comfort with obliterating planning protocol, his cavalier ignorance of the ethics and responsibilities of his office and his wish to un-protect the legally protected SSSI's of Scotland.
He is quite happy to have his ego massaged and soak up the accolades that he is an "amazing man" and sell Scotland out to a bully boy who wants to use Scotland to line his pockets. Yes Alex Salmond has personally overseen, though not officially of course (!), that Donald Trump is given free reign to destroy undeveloped coast and turn a mobile sand dune system notified as a SSSI into a couple of stabilised golf courses. In addition to that, he has the freedom to bring a massive disney style hotel and condo towers to a rural location and all the pollution and traffic chaos the residents will create. The dumping of yet more over-priced "luxury" new build properties into a housing market with too many properties versus mortgage approvals is just the icing on the poisoned cake.
It is quite clear to me that Alex Salmond is comfortable with unethical behaviour, happy to destroy the environment in the name of unsustainable business and be just the kind of First Minister Scotland needs like a hole in the head, or indeed like it needs another bankrupt golf course.
Then, two days later, he is out and about sending his message to the new US President:
Firstly, Alex Salmond does not, and never wil, speak on behalf of *me*. But the most bizarre thing about this message is that he is sending it to a man who has campaigned for his new role by promoting concepts like sustainability, and protection of the environment, and not being ruled by rich business men.
Smoke and mirrors? Or broken mirrors?

I’m appalled, and I am disgusted. How can they do this? This is all in the name of so called progress, a few casual minimum wage jobs and a lot of pockets getting lined somewhere. If I were Gaia, I would be plotting my revenge on the whole flaming lot of them.
