Moray Firth Dolphins
Some of you may have followed the tales of my holiday week in the Highlands and Islands in March and our bad timing trying to catch sight of the dolphins. You may have read my recent post, Oily Thorn, which inspires me to imagine protective graffiti across the Kessock Bridge "They are Scotland's dolphins"..
(note to everyone the only things I graffiti are sketchbooks, the occasional canvas and, with a little help, my skin)
Well I have seen Orcas and Minke in the wild but I have yet to see a Moray Firth dolphin so tonight I settled for the next best thing and watched the far better timed Simon King on Springwatch as he got all emotional as the dolphins played around just off the beach at Chanonry Point.
The wonder of the web means you can watch some of the footage too
And don't forget, these dolphins are protected by the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society ~ and I'm currently running an auction with 100% of the winning bid going to help their important and sacred work.
I know I seem to be a bit of a newsreader at the moment, bear with me and normal programming will resume at some point...

Highlands and Islands In a Week part 1
They did look great out there. One day we shall get a tent and go and visit them to say hello.
