Creative Space and new SoulCollage
Today I have been concentrating on my creative space. I am not sure quite how it happens, but this room seems to gradually creep into disarray. I prefer it tidy and organised and the theory behind the creation of this room was that it was to be a Den, a Haven, a place for Creativity. But it also functions as Taexalia Towers - a hub of financial files, bubbly envelopes and pretty things winding their way to happy customers. In short Clutter Creeps.
So I'm tackling the untidy piles, some leftovers from doing my tax return (shame on me!) and trying to return the place to its former glory.
I do love the new set up of my desk though - so much more space to spread out. I did just that by emptying several folders of images onto it and enjoyed the luxury of sifting through them - usually I sit with a folder on my knee and go through them piece by piece and I find that stifles my flow. It's quite overwhelming because I now have quite a large collection of images, so I need a big desk to be able to see correlations that I might miss otherwise.
The challenge will be whether I tidy these away and keep to my goal of having a clean desk every night...
I did make two new cards and I have a few little piles that feel like they are forming into neters, so the journey continues. The first card I came up with today was the Walker. I got a bunch of walking magazines off my Dad - it's good to get hold of magazines I wouldn't normally buy because it widens the type of pictures in my image store. Shame on the Country Walking for being overrun with images of men - I'm sure there are more than 1% of walkers who are female! But I found a few and created a card to nurture and honour my Walker.
As I have found in the past, a card often comes with a friend or two and today was no exception. As I tried to arrange the "walker images" onto one card I realised that I had more than one Neter, and the Pathfinder card stepped out (sorry couldn't resist).
