Women Who Inspire Me To Finish The Job
I have been feeling rather blocked recently about writing here and everything else, perhaps the reasons are obvious and perhaps not - but it is what it is A Block. I wonder if the reasons for a block are really important, and it isn't just the task of navigating the block, getting over it, past it, around it that is the really important thing. Reclaiming, taking back power, saying What The Fuck.
So this morning I decided to catch up with the blogosphere and read what everyone else is writing about and I realised just how many great women there are out there who inspire me. So this blog is just a snippet from the world of women who inspire me. No particular order, and if you aren't listed it isn't personal and doesn't mean you don't inspire me...
The first thing I'm going to post appeared on Leah's blog Creative Every Day. Now Leah herself inspires me to a) be gentle with myself and b) try to make time for every day creativity. Her blogs are always a wonderful treasure trove of inspiring thoughts and images and this is what I found there this morning:
What an amazing woman, and just the right message for me to get from the universe today - never give up no matter what the odds are like.
Now a little link love for the North East's Funniest Woman, Misssy ~ she promises funny stories and she delivers. I giggled this morning, I couldn't help myself. She also needs to know that I found one of her family members in Holyrood Park the other day...
We have given it a sat nav and a postcode...
Now, I've been meaning to plug these women for some time. Knowing one of them as well as I do doesn't make me biased
they are beautiful women with a gorgeously voiced take on things and I listen to their CD a lot: Ancestra Sings.
There's a theme here ~ it's all about Finishing The Job, having something to shout about... a finished article. And I love to watch the finished articles emerging from the hands of Tammy Vitale... as well as her take on life
I haven't finished an article in a while, but that's OK because I'm climbing back on the tightrope.

Hey thanks Suzanne! I was looking for him!
Talking about inspiration, I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a book for some time. The nature of my job means that I often have slow periods and I have decided to use them more productively.
Not one word has been written but the plot synopsis is there. I know you’ve been writing your one for a while now but answer me this, Is it usual to be absolutely shitting yourself about starting??
I don’t know about shitting yourself about starting a novel – seems to me my shitting point is about *finishing*… or at least *continuing*…
Write a word, break the white space and remember – there’s always a delete key.
*wonders if there will be wasps and meester bums*
*sorry red wine blip*
Oh how Meeester would like his bum to feature. Sadly (or maybe, thankfully) it doesn’t.
