A Public Enquiry – Donald Trump – Menie Links
The Scottish Government has finally announced its next move regarding the Trump plans to annihilate a SSSI sand dune system at Menie Links in Aberdeenshire - a public enquiry is to be held. This is good news because I for one want to know why any Aberdeenshire councillor thinks they have the right to approve plans that will mean the destruction of a rare sand dune system that is supposed to be protected by law. I'd like to see the full facts published, rather than the propaganda of a corporate ... read more
Windswept and Interesting
Rainbow over the ForthI have the beginnings of a cold coming on and I'm also pre-menstrual, so you might want to take a step back. However, I need to be congratulated because instead of sitting inside feeling miserable, I motivated myself to take advantage of the sunshine and get all breathless in Holyrood Park. Of course by the time I got myself organised and out the door (and forgot my flask of water and things I was going to post), the clouds had begun to congregate. Still, I was thankful ... read more

Although I know the foxes remain in the neighbourhood, they just haven't been using the gardens viewed from my window very often. The last few nights, however, have been punctuated with eerie barking and calls and I have been hoping what I was hearing was the sounds of a fox calling for ... read more

Coming Out Of The Dark
We saw some of the first snowdrops the other day and I thought they'd make a fitting picture for this blog since it has been a month since I posted.I didn't mean to lose momentum (again) but I got caught up in the mundane, well for me it's mundane, world of editing HTML templates, book-keeping and tax returns and more HTML templates.January is tax return time, and despite all my good work around being more organised in life - I still found myself compiling all my info at the last minute. I did ... read more
