My Cultural Life

I have been tagged by the highly cultured and very funny MisssyM over the The Misssives and ordered, under threat of *one of those looks* to tell you about my cultural life...

1. What am I reading at the moment?
2. What am I listening to at the moment?
3. What am I watching at the moment?

1. I am reading American Gods (Author's Cut) by Neil Gaiman, Britain BC by Francis Pryor, The Roman Conquest of Scotland by James E Fraser and a book of knitting patterns for socks.

2. I am trying very hard not to say "herding of elephants above" but I cannot get the delete key to work. Musical interludes are currently dominated by Joan Jett, Lamb of God and Apocalyptica - all of whom fit into my top 5 top gigs of 2007. I am quite surprised about the Lamb of God thing but I like loud drums.

3. I have been revisiting the odd episode of My So Called Life and pondering returning (again) to Robin of Sherwood. I am not big on telly really and prefer to stick a DVD in. I went to see I Am Legend and thought it was pants (apart from the doggie!), but I really liked Beowulf.

To pass this along, I'm tagging: Katharina, Seventh Sister, @ because it might make him blog, PrairieStar and Cindy. If I haven't tagged you and you want to join in, be my guest :)

~~~*~~~
I was up until 3am last night engrossed in my polymer clays and really enjoying the return to the magic. The yin yang cane was one I had already made a while ago but I wanted to make a more intricate cane so I've built it up to this level, but I'm thinking I want it to be even more intricate. I've also got an interesting small cane that will probably make 10 eye beads, or maybe I'll do something else. Polymer clay is an adventure every time I open a packet and I have no idea why I haven't been doing this every day of my life, but I've been doing it every day this week :)
I have this niggling concern that this self inflicted bliss and motivation is going to disappear again, I hope I can knock that little bluebeard on the head...
    ah yes, the motivation thingy…I’m telling myself that I will take baby steps this year, all the way through the year, and see if that accomplishes any less than grand ideas that wear me out and I only make it half way through. So you make polymer clay kanes – I’m so jealous. I have never been able to do that – something about detail work I think.
    OH my…I did this wrong. But I had fun writing my piece in response to your question. I didn’t tag anyone because I only have about 5 blogs to tag, and you already got them. :)
    Thanks for the link love ;o)! I’ve been smiling at you all along.
    I did it! I did it!
    (I think!)
