Reading
As a way of re-connecting with my cards, I decided to do a three card reading. I closed my eyes and focused on my question and then chose three cards from the face down deck.
My question: Where does motivation come from?
I laughed as I turned over the first card and kept smiling as the spread unfolded. The immediate message from the first card was "relaxation and meditation are missing from your life!"
As I looked at the spread, I realised I had two cards that I've never really assigned a meaning to and I couldn't remember the names I had given the scanned images. What came to mind for the first card was "meditation", for the second card "melancholy angel" and the third card is the Cailleach "death"...
In relation to the question, I think the meaning of the first card is obvious - grounding, meditation and quality relaxation time will all nurture motivation. The second card puzzles me - I remember making it and thinking it was about sadness, particularly around dance. As I write, I wonder if it has to do with allowing space to grieve and let go of old pain... which would tie in with the final card, the creatrix of death and rebirth.
I thought I'd try the "I am the one who..." exercise with this spread, rather than just one card...http://taexalia.me/blog/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=314
The three cards:

I am the one who feels trapped by procrastination
I am the one who is seeking motivation
I am the one who makes space for relaxtion
I am the one who meditates
I am the one who makes sacred space
I am the one who is grounded
I am the one who acknowledges the past
I am the one who expresses feelings
I am the one who lets the shadows unfold
I am the one who sits with it a while
I am the one who knows the power of endings and beginnings
I am the one who knows when to let something go
I am the one who cuts the cords
I am the one who releases energy
I am the one who cherishes stillness as much as activity
I am the one who knows the way...
