Red Fox Vulpes Vulpes ~ Graceful Landing
This is one of our local dog foxes and the one most often seen in the gardens viewed from my den. It has been a damp and musky day today, the heaviness in last night's air has eased with the rainfall - although I'm looking across to Arthur's Seat and seeing the edge of the ominous grey weather front that is lurking above us.
Fantastic Mr Fox spent around 10 minutes trotting around the gardens and the main purpose seemed to be marking territory... I wonder if he has to do this every time it rains... must keep an eye out.
As I'm typing Fantastic Mrs Fox has just popped across my line of vision! She is smaller, more skittish and less easy to capture with my camera... I'm wondering where they live, as I think it must be quite close, and if we will see some cubs.
Fox medicine teaches about shapeshifting, invisibility, camouflage, wisdom, cunning and subtlety. Foxes are dexterous, adaptable and agile... if secrets are about call fox... sometimes foxes appear as a warning of trickery.

Those photos are ACE! the things you see when you don’t have to go out do 9 to 5 for “the man”!
Anyway, in response to your Lib Dem deomcracy blog I thought you might want to read this (admittedly nationalist) fake letter to the Lib dems on The Scottish Patient blog.

Sorry my typing is a little wobbly. Overwork….
on a retreat i went on last year, we were asked to go out into the woods and find some objects that represented us. while out in the woods i came upon a fox den and saw two baby foxes playing. they were incredibly cute! one of them made eye contact and watched me watching him and then i quietly walked away. it was a really wonderful experience. How fun to have these cuties in your yard!
Gorgeous foxes, Taexalia, absolutely sublime they were. Here I am for a visit with dark chocolate and tea, many furry hugs and much love, Nokomis
