Three Card Reading
Tonight I tried a Three Card Reading, as suggested by Anne Marie on her Inner Surprises blog. I spent a little time deciding on a question, and then I sat with my deck and focused on the question: How can I be more productive?

Kundalini SoulCollage Card
I am the one who meditates
I am the one who guides the rainbow energy through my body
I am the one who works with energy
What do you have to say to me about my question?
Learn to relax into your body. Practise meditation. Practise working with each chakra and isolating it's energy so that you can know it more deeply. Practise aligning your chakras, opening and closing them, and then grounding and centering yourself at the beginning of your day.

Creatrix SoulCollage Card
I am the one who carries the power of life and death
I am the one who harnesses the life force and makes change
I am the one who knows when to cut away the dead wood
I am fearless
What do you have to say to me about my question?
Have no fear of doing what you wish to do.

Passion SoulCollage Card
I am the one who expresses my passion.
I am the one who opens myself up with abandon.
What do you have to say to me about my question?
Do not hold back, express yourself in all the ways that come to mind. Be bold and free in your creativity.

This is a spot-on reading for where I am at right now. None of this is "news" to me - more a confirmation of what I need to build into my life to move into the next phase. The first two cards were easy to fit with the question, but the third card was a surprise. As with Tarot, often a card pops up that at first seems to be out of synch with the rest of the reading - but opening up to the less obvious symbolism brings insight.
My pattern is often to put meditationat the bottom of my To Do list - and my To Do list is usually only a half-formed idea and therefore never really fulfilled. This spread reminds me that I would benefit from beginning my day with energy work. Once I get the energy flowing and balanced, then motivation and empowerment should flow more easily.
SoulCollage® is the process, developed by Seena B. Frost, of creating a deck of collaged cards from found images—cards that are arranged in suits for the primary purpose of self-exploration and self-acceptance. SoulCollage® cards are made from original purchased art (e.g., art published in magazines, calendars, books, cards, etc.) and personal materials (e.g., photos). SoulCollage cards are not to be sold, traded, or bartered and are to be reproduced only for the personal use of the maker of the card.

which deck are you using for your reading?
Hi Seventh Sister – the deck is my own SoulCollage deck which I am in the process of creating. All the cards are hand-made by me.
these cards are AWESOME! (I’ve lately been reading about caps and exclamation points, but sometimes online there is simply no other way).
Love your reading.
I read Tarot for myself (always right on, whether or not I like it), but haven’t used the soul cards for that yet….maybe because I feel like I have so many more to make.
starting to post some at my blog.
happy holidays!
